Here's how I reached my conclusion: I went to http://www.di.fm in my G1 browser. I long-pressed a link to an .pls file pointing to a stream using the mp3 codec and saved it. On the downloads screen, I opened with StreamFurious and the station was added successfully and it was able to play.
Then I logged into my premium account on di.fm and attempted to do the same with a .pls file pointing to a high-quality, authenicated stream. This time, when I opened it with StreamFurious the program listed a new station, but it says "Unknown Error" whenever I try to play it.

I also am a di.fm paying subscriber. I would love to be able to listen to my di.fm pay account on SOMETHING, that is not an iphone!

Yes, please add support for user/passworded streams, such as those found on www.di.fm or www.sky.fm

Likewise; I'd like to serve a private stream from home, but can't. Building a URL of the format http://user:pass@host/listen_url doesn't work, StreamFurious seems to just strip the info off.

Likewise; can't serve a private stream from home with any kind of credentials. Adding username:password@host in the m3u doesn't work either.
