Add the ability to add your own custom streaming URL's. Aka be able to copy and paste your own streams into stream furious so you can listen to any station you want from any station and save it for enjoyment in the future.

I had issues with DI.fm. I resolved it by saving the links to my phone. Once saved the .pls files were associated with StreamFurious and I'm happy.

I have done this in a round about way. It will need a home wifi or a web hosting service.
1. Open the URL in vlc on the desktop.
2. Save the playlist as m3u file.
3. Copy the m3u file to your web server.
4. Connect to your wifi network.
5. Open the file with browser.
It should play in SF.

@mishathegoat Have you tried entering the full .m3u url into the browser? SF should pick it up if the server is set up correctly. This is actually a fairly decent workaround for adding customs urls in general - just type it into the browser.

I was really excited to read the description of this app but was really disappointed once I found that I can only listen to the stations that you added. I have my own mp3 (m3u) music server setup at home.. It'd be great to add my own station.

i ilke this idea as i 2 host a site using shotcast and wud love to be able to stream it xxx
streamfurious
@jeff.jaysi8 Nope, that stream is windows media - not a format that SF currently supports. We support MP3 only right now.

Could I use streamfurious for the audio stream on drgenescott.com? If so, how?

I'm quite ignorant to all of this but, I just clicked menu. & search and was able to add the station I wanted as well as bookmark it. I like country music and it didn't have any so I added one from search. I don't know if that's what you're talking about or not. Maybe the info will be helpful to someone.

If you take off the listen.pls and open in your browser, you can click the "Listen" link and it will open in SF--then it will always be in your list! (I assume)

Here's the link to the station http://38.96.148.50:9400/listen.pls

We host a radio station here in las Vegas NV and it would be nice to add the feature just to type in or paste the IP of the host to tune in. Great job guys..!! I'm really looking forward for this feature..
