I suggest you ...

allow the user to change the buffer size

sometimes it takes quite awhile to fill the buffer, especially since the buffer size seems to stay the same even for low bitrate streams.

Absolutely. Keeps stopping. Would like to increase buffer. Make sure it.can use the SD card. Almost out of internal memory but many gb on SD card

A setting would be great, I don't use Wifi that often.
So I'd like to have a setting which uses a smaller buffer, maybe depending on streamsize.

        We need this feature!
I'd rather wait for a few more seconds before a stream starts than having interruptions while listening.

Actually, I was a bit off... 8 megs would give us 8x64 seconds of buffer ~ around 8:32 of buffer time. Perhaps that could be the max setting, but I think in my case, I'd love to see at least a 1 or 2 meg buffer option.

This would be so great! It would help alot when jumping from 3G to Wifi if we had say a 8 megabyte buffer... that would give us 64 seconds to jump netoworks in most cases :D
